Open Philanthropy (anciennement Open Philanthropy Project) est une fondation basée à San Francisco qui mène des recherches et finance des projets liés à l’altruisme efficace.
Open Philanthropy a été lancé fin 2011, dans le cadre d’un partenariat entre Good Ventures et GiveWell.1 Le partenariat a fonctionné sous le nom de avant d’adopter, en août 2014, le nom . Il a continué à faire partie de GiveWell jusqu’en 2017, date à laquelle il est devenu une organisation indépendante. Le nom a été changé en vers décembre 2019.
Cari Tuna est la présidente d’Open Philanthropy et Alexander Berger en est le PDG.
Les candidatures sont actuellement ouvertes pour les jeunes souhaitant obtenir un soutien financier afin de poursuivre une carrière contribuant à améliorer l’avenir à long terme.4
